We filmed José Romanillos’ custom guitar video three years ago and spent well over a week with him in Sigüenza, Spain. José had already retired, but decided to get his tools out one more time and finish his very last custom acoustic guitar which he had promised to his friend and fellow luthier, Josep Melo, in Barcelona. In this video clip luthier legend José Romanillos talks about the specific way he makes the neck joint of a classical Spanish guitar. He relates to Antonio de Torres.
