Michael Spalt is one of the few Custom Electric Guitar Luthiers who managed to receive a high reputation among professional guitar players and guitar collectors alike. His Totem Guitars are as close as you can get to an artwork with a functional electric guitar. His line of Hybrid guitars are only rivaled by the Teuffel Birdfish.

Austria-born Michael Spalt talks about his Custom Electric Totem Guitars, resin tops and his sources of inspiration. Cameo appearances of Hitproducer Rob Schnapf (The Vines) and Dusty Wakeman (Dwight Yokam). Guitarist Woody Aplanalp (Bobby Womack) demos his personal Totem guitar, guitar wizard André LaFosse gives an impressive performance on of of Michaels Hybrid guitars. Hi there, nice site with good info. I really like coming back here often. There’s only one thing that annoys me and that is the misfunctioning of comment posting. I usually get to 500 error page, and have to do the post twice.
