For the shoot of this video documentary, Custom Electric Guitar luthier Michael Spalt took us to places in and around Los Angeles that are inspiring for his work. We shot in an electronic junkyard in the San Fernado Valley, took a trip in the desert and spent time with him on the rooftops of Hollywood.
Part 3 of an extensive custom guitar video about Los Angeles based master luthier and “visionary extraordinaire” Michael Spalt. Michael talks about his Custom Electric Hybrid Guitars, aluminum and metal workflows and how they affect the sound of a guitar. In order to find the pros who use Michaels Custom Electric Guitars we went to Mad Dog Studios in Van Nuys. Hitproducer Dusty Wakeman gave us a tour in the facility that produced smash hits of Rock’n Roll singer Rod Stewart, the Rockband Evanescence and Country Star Dwight Yoakam.
